Exam 3:
(Final)
Thu, 2 May 02, 3pm-5pm, in class (100 NEB).
Closed book, closed
notes, one crib sheet (8 x 5.5 paper, i.e.,
half
of a regular letter-size paper, both
sides).
You should try to come to class 5 min before
exam starts at 3:00pm sharp.
Policy on neat and clear writing:
In your exam papers (as in your HW reports), you should strive
to write neatly and clearly. Present all equations and numerical
data in the order that they should appear. If you failed to do so,
and if your exam paper were incomprehensible, you would not get
any credit, even if your final answer were right.
See this policy in the
syllabus.

Please read carefully the
Syllabus
and the course
Contents and Schedule.
These web pages are being constructed as we move along
in the course. Any modifications to these documents in the future
will be clearly announced in this web page.

It is important that you read the sections assigned prior to coming
to the lectures, since all details related to the topics listed
are covered in the textbook. When you read the assigned sections,
you should also try to solve all sample problems in these sections.
In the lectures, I will discuss briefly the important points of
the assigned sections, and solve some problems to illustrate the
applications of the principles stated in the text. Note that a mere
reading of the solution of the sample problems in the text, or copying
down the solution of problems in the lectures, without seriously
trying to think about and to solve these problems yourself will not
be helpful to you during the exams.
-
Academic Honesty:
All students admitted to the University of Florida have signed a
statement of academic honesty committing themselves to be honest
in all academic work and understanding that failure to comply with
this commitment will result in disciplinary action.
This statement is a reminder to uphold your obligation as a student
at the University of Florida and to be honest in all work submitted
and exams taken in this class and all others.
-
In writing your HW report, please follow this
HW model.
